Product Support

Salt is corrosive and will corrode a pepper mill mechanism over time. Key features built into our salt mills to protect against corrosion are anodized components and durable ceramic grinding mechanisms. 

No, salt is corrosive and will corrode a pepper mill mechanism over time. Salt mills feature protective features such as anodized components and ceramic grinding mechanisms. 

All of our mills, minus disposables, are re-fillable. Remove the top knob (counterclockwise) to lift off the top of the mill to access the spice chamber. If you are re-filling a combo unit, you access the pepper chamber by following the same steps above. 

Clean the exterior of your mill by wiping with a soft damp cloth. Avoid the use of chemicals and abrasives as these may damage the finish. Our grinding mechanisms are maintenance free under normal use. If spice inside your mill becomes wet, the spice will need to be removed. Our mills are not dishwasher safe. 

Orders and Payment

Orders will ship within 1-2 business days. Please allow 3-5 business days for customized orders. We do our best to accommodate rush orders and special requests. 

If you need to cancel or change your order, please contact us as soon as possible. Once your order ships, we are not able to cancel or change it.

Yes, we ship to most international destinations via USPS First Class and do so regularly. Please be aware Chef Specialties is not responsible for any customs charges/import taxes. 

Warranty, Exchanges and Returns

We guarantee our grinding mechanisms for life. Housings are not covered. Terms and conditions of our guarantee can be found here. If you experience a performance issue with your product, please contact us for support. 

Not happy with your purchase? That's ok! We want you to be happy. You can return any new, and unused item in its original packaging within 30 days from the date of purchase for a refund, minus shipping costs.

Gift cards, sale items, factory seconds, and customized products are not eligible for return.
